About Us
We know it, because we live it.
The name Cervara comes from the word Cervidae, the scientific family name for deer, elk, caribou, moose, etc. These animals represent the heart of backcountry hunting and we took inspiration from that name because Cervara gear is built for hunters who pursue the very animals that define the backcountry experience: rugged, resilient, and built for the long haul.
Just like the animals of the Cervidae family, our gear is designed to handle tough country, big miles, and heavy loads, so hunters can focus on the pursuit, and not worry about the packout.

Our Story
At Cervara, our story begins with Beau, a lifelong hunter who grew up chasing big game across rugged terrain in Idaho. Like many serious backcountry hunters, he quickly learned that getting a trophy animal on the ground is only half the battle, and getting it out can be the real grind.
After joining the fire department, Beau gained firsthand experience with mechanical advantage systems used in rescue operations. He realized the same principles could make a massive difference in the backcountry, where every ounce counts, and there was no ultralight solution built for hunters.
So, he took matters into his own hands. Beau designed the first ultralight pulley system built specifically for serious backcountry hunters, a system that delivers strength, simplicity, and packability without compromise.
Today, Cervara Company exists because of that same passion: to help hunters go farther, hunt harder, and pack smarter with gear that’s built for the grind.
